Join us as the planning team presents final planning and urban design recommendations for the areas of North Mass Ave and Porter Square to the Mass Ave Planning Study Working Group.

Porter Square Redesign Project included reconfiguration of the main intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Somerville Avenue, reconstruction of the sidewalks, upgrading of lighting and the addition of new pedestrian crossings and bicycle facilities.

Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Topic: Trees and Climate Resilience Book: Twelve Trees: The Deep Roots of Our Future by Daniel Lewis. Meetings will be held on the second Thursday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m. Copies of the book will be available at the Collins Branch during library hours. March Title: The God of the Woods by Liz Moore. This book group will meet virtually and in person at the Boudreau Branch. We will discuss current and classic mystery titles. The Danehy Summer Concert scheduled for Tuesday, July 8 has been cancelled due to the weather forecast. The Danehy Park Summer Concert Series is in partnership by Club Passim and Cambridge Recreation.

Every month we will read and discuss a short story as a group. For December we will be reading "The Turn of the Screw" by Henry James. Copies of the story are available for pick up at the Central Square Branch. Registration is helpful but not required!

Our monthly Middle Grade Mystery book group is for kids aged 10-14. Check out a copy of the book beforehand, or download it from the Libby app. Our July book is The Case of the Missing Marquess (Enola Holmes #1) by Nancy Springer. The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. We will share thoughts, resources, and occasionally host special guests in a welcoming small-group environment. For our December meeting, we will discuss This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. the Climate by Naomi Klein. Copies of the book are available at the Main Library Q&A Desk.
