Beginning Tuesday, September 2, the War Memorial Recreation Center (1640 Cambridge St.) will reopen for programming and public swim for the fall season. This year, we are excited to offer free Family Swim through the month of September.

Join the Central Square BID for a block party celebrating the launch of Central On Air, a new community-driven live streaming platform for DJs, musicians, and listeners alike. Central Square BID is kicking off the summer and unveiling Central On Air to the public for the very first time. The event is on Saturday, June 14th from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in Lafayette Square, just steps from their new studio at 425 Mass Ave. Enjoy live DJ sets, local vendors, and a first look (and listen!) at their street-level studio and livestream platform. Continue on to the afterparties at Brick & Mortar, Middlesex, and Roxy's. Be part of the energy, music, nightlife, and community that powers Central Square!

The City of Cambridge announced today that it will not advance to Phase IV, Step 1 of the Commonwealth’s Reopening Plan and will remain in Phase III, Step 2 until further notice. The City will also restrict gathering limits for event venues and in public settings to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors. In addition, the City of Cambridge announced that it is extending the current prohibition on City-sponsored community events, events permitted for the use of City parks, or other City-sponsored public gatherings through May 31, 2021.
