Garage, Flammables or Garage with Flammables Licenses are issued by the Cambridge License Commission and governed by Massachusetts General Law ch. 148 sec. 13 & 56. It takes approximately four to six weeks for the application to be processed, and if approved, the license to be issued.

Broadband Subsidies for Qualified Residents Begin May 12
The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that provides a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills for residents with low incomes or those who lost income during the pandemic. As of May 12, 2021, eligible households will be able to enroll in the program to receive a monthly discount of $50 off the cost of broadband service from an approved provider.

8th Class of Cambridge-Northeastern Police Academy Begins
This week 42 Student Officers officially began their law enforcement career as part of the Cambridge-Northeastern Police Academy. Now in it’s eighth class, the Cambridge-Northeastern Police Academy is a collaboration between both departments with support from other agencies. The academy is authorized by the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) to provide recruit level training for officers looking to work in municipal or university settings.
