During the 11th Participatory Budgeting cycle, Cambridge residents voted to fund Welcome Baby Boxes for new parents. This initiative, offered by the Center for Families, provides Baby Boxes to eligible Cambridge parents who have a child under one year old. Since outreach began in the Fall of 2025, more than 60 Cambridge households have signed up to receive a Baby Box. 

Youth ages 10-16 are welcome to join three sessions (Tuesdays, February 3, 10, 24) of the table-top game Dungeons and Dragons (DnD), as we build our cooperative role-play and storytelling skills. The first session will include time to build characters and review rules of gameplay. Following sessions will follow a storyline through to the final session. Registration is required, as the program is capped at 6 players. Please plan to attend all sessions! Registering for Session 1 includes the following weekly sessions. No prior DnD experience is required, and experienced players are also welcome to join. The City of Cambridge does not discriminate, including on the basis of disability. The Task Force will consider opportunities for new or revised practices and procedures to improve LGBTQ+ persons’ access to, and inclusion in, existing housing. The Task Force will also evaluate possibilities for new housing to be more LGBTQ+-friendly. The Task Force will issue a final report with concrete recommendations and action plans for ensuring LGBTQ+ housing access, safety, and inclusivity in Cambridge.

At the fifth Working Group meeting for Safety Improvement Project on Cambridge St, Members will discuss near-final plans for Section A, upcoming utility work on Cambridge St, and look ahead to future sections of the corridor.

Governor Baker announced that he will institute a statewide rollback to Phase III, Step 1 of the Commonwealth’s Reopening Plan on Sunday, December 13. Cambridge has remained at Step 1 of Phase III since the summer.
