This project will improve the exterior of the Moore Youth Center by adding a small garden, better tables, outdoor seating, an art installation, and more. These improvements will make the area more comfortable and youth friendly.

The Cambridge Public Health Department’s Health Promotion Mini-Grant Program will award up to $20,000 in total funding to projects from community organizations, schools, businesses, garden and farm programs, and government agencies that serve Cambridge.

Alpacas from the Harvard Alpaca Ranch will be visiting the library for an educational program and meet and greet. Join us to learn more about alpacas and take some time to say hello! This event is intended for school-age children. No registration required. Cambridge Common is a 16 acre park, located outside of Harvard Square and surrounded by Massachusetts Avenue, Garden Street and Waterhouse Street. The Common has a long and colorful history, and is an important local resource as well as a tourist attraction.

The City of Cambridge will once again host Danehy Park Family Day on Saturday, September 21, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Danehy Park is a 55-acre facility located at 99 Sherman Street in North Cambridge (adjacent to Garden and New Streets). The event rain date is September 28, 2024. 

The City of Cambridge Department of Veterans Services will host a Veterans Day Observance event on Tuesday, November 11, from 11 a.m.- 12 p.m., at the Cambridge Common, located at 1500 Massachusetts avenue., by the Civil War monument, which is bordered by Massachusetts Avenue, Garden Street, and Waterhouse Street, near Harvard Square.
