Everywhere!, an exciting math app that encourages your child to explore fun, interactive math tasks — right in your neighborhood. On Wednesday, May 1, 2024 the City of Cambridge kicked off National Small Business Month by hosting the Cambridge Legacy Business Luncheon. This event celebrates some of the oldest businesses in Cambridge.
Small Business Assistance
Small businesses are an important part of Cambridge’s diverse and thriving economy. To support and promote current small business owners and aspiring local entrepreneurs, the Community Development Department’s economic development division offers a variety of programs, workshops, grants, and resources.
Cambridge STEAM Initiative
The Cambridge STEAM Initiative is a joint venture between the City of Cambridge Department of Human Service Programs, the Cambridge Public School District, and the Cambridge Public Library. STEAM is an integrated approach to learning that uses any combination of STEAM areas of study - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math - as access points for inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Using a racial justice lens to frame all of its efforts, the STEAM Initiative works to ensure that Cambridge residents who are most impacted by systemic inequities have access to high quality STEAM programming, resources, and skill-building opportunities.
