Join this free 1-hour interactive workshop for parents and caregivers ready to spark powerful conversations about race, identity, and belonging. You will gain historical insights, tools to affirm your child’s cultural roots, and connect with others committed to raising antiracist children. The workshop will feature a presentation by Vice Mayor Marc McGovern and a special giveaway: The Village We’re Building digital zine! Learn how to use smartphones (iPhone or Android) to communicate with others. You will learn about text messages, emails and how to send attachments. 2024-2025 Grant Recipients
Overall Cambridge Arts and the City are distributing more than $300,000 to 60 artists, cultural organizations and grant reviewers via grants and stipends this year through three funding opportunities offered by Cambridge Arts: Organizational Investment Grants, Art for Social Justice Grants, and Local Cultural Council Project Grants.
Brattle Street Paving Saturday 9/24
The City’s contractor, E.J. Paving, will begin making roadway improvements on Brattle St. between Harvard Square and Sparks St. on Saturday, September 24.

9-11 Remembrance Ceremony - 2023
Please join with us to remember the victims of the attacks of September, 11, 2001.
A brief, respectful remembrance ceremony will be held at each City firehouse on Monday, September 11, 2023 starting at 9:50 a.m. Everyone is invited to join with firefighters participating at Fire Headquarters at 491 Broadway or at your neighborhood firehouse.
