The What Works Cities Certification standard reflects the practices, policies, and infrastructure municipalities must have in place to effectively harness data for better decision-making. Platinum is Bloomberg Philanthropies What Works Cities’ highest-level certification.

CHA Launches COVID-19 Testing in Cambridge
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) will offer COVID-19 testing to all Cambridge residents via a stand-alone testing center at the CHA East Cambridge Care Center (163 Gore St., Cambridge). The service will launch on Friday, May 8. Cambridge residents eight years of age and older are welcome, regardless of insurance or immigration status. Individuals MUST CALL to set up an appointment using a new hotline number at 617-665-2928.
Cambridge Seeking Residents to Host Events for Meet Your Neighbor Day
Residents and community members can organize an event anytime between September 14 and 22, though Sunday, September 15 is the official event day. We are hoping community members will plan events (e.g. cookout, block party, service project, etc.) that can bring together neighbors — in a way that works for them! Did you know that the City of Cambridge offers $300 awards and free Play Streets kits to support neighborhood block parties?
Cybersecurity Basics - how to recognize and avoid online scams (Virtual)
Learn how to be safer online with accounts and passwords. We will provide an overview of frauds and scams to watch out for. Nine projects in total were selected after 10,172 Cambridge residents age 12 and older voted how to spend $1 million on capital and operating projects to improve the community.
