[CANCELLED] CPL Nature Club: Nature Story Time at Alewife Brook Reservation (O'Neill)
Update 6/18/25: Due to rain in the forecast, this story time has been cancelled. Children and families can join us for an outdoor story time and short walk at Alewife Brook Reservation. We will meet at the seating area on the bike path near the Alewife Brook Pathway and DCR Wetland Boardwalk: https://maps.app.goo.gl/CC32nJqG1Xk3b5zDA. There is no parking available on-site. Parking is available at Alewife MBTA station or limited on-street parking on Cambridgepark Drive. No registration is required. In case of bad weather, this event will be cancelled and the listing will be updated on the website. Please call 617-349-4023 with any questions, including day-of weather cancellations.

Yard Waste Pick Up
The City offers free weekly collection of yard waste, April 1-December 31 for residents with recycling collection from the City. Yard waste is banned from landfills and incinerators in Massachusetts. Leaves and other yard waste that fall on your property should be gathered as needed. Leaves and twigs on sidewalks and curbs adjacent to your property are the responsibility of the property owner to collect and set out as yard waste.

Short Story Reading Group (Central Square)
Every month we will read and discuss a short story as a group. For April we will be reading "The Locked Room" from Homesick for Another World by Ottessa Moshfegh. Copies of the story will be available for pick up at the Central Square Branch. Registration is helpful but not required!
Raymond Park
The City of Cambridge will renovate Raymond Park in Neighborhood Nine. The design and community engagement process will begin in early 2024, and construction is anticipated to begin in 2025.

New poetry will be coming to Cambridge neighborhoods as five winning poems will be imprinted in sidewalks across the city as part of the City of Cambridge’s annual Sidewalk Poetry Contest.
