2018 Resident Survey Results
The results from this survey indicate that overall resident views of the City of Cambridge remain positive—although some key measures have reverted back to less positive 2014 levels. On perhaps the most all encompassing measure of resident sentiment, “extreme” satisfaction with overall experiences with the city
remains at the record high level for the 18-year history of this survey program.
Stretch Energy Code 2023
on January 23, 2023, the City 01 Cambridge adopted the commonwealth 01 Massachusetts's new
Municipal Opt-in Specialized Stretch Energy Code, ioining the communities 01 Brookline and
Watertown. The code, which goes into ellect in Cambridge on July 1, 2023, is to support the City's
Net zero goals.
New Development Log Available - 2022 Q3
The Development Log, published quarterly, tracks large-scale residential, commercial and institutional development projects currently in the permitting or construction phases in the City of Cambridge.
Winter Warming Center
The Winter Warming Center, open December 1 through April 30 for the 2025-2026 season, provides a safe and welcoming space at night for adults experiencing homelessness. The nightly maximum capacity at the Warming Center is 35 individuals.
