Climate Action Book Club (Collins)
Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Topic: Community Resilience Documentary: This month we will be discussing the documentary, 2040 which is available on Kanopy and as a DVD. Phillis Wheatley Day Celebration (Main)
Please join the Library in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the publication of Phillis Wheatley's poems with a poetry reading and workshop. Organized by the poet Artress Bethany White—the co-editor of Wheatley at 250: Black Women Poets Re-imagine the Verse of Phillis Wheatley Peters—this event will open with an African drumming prelude, followed by a presentation on Wheatley's life and work as well as a reading by contemporary poets inspired by Wheatley and collected in Wheatley at 250, and concluding with a short writing exercise designed to engage the audience with Wheatley's poems.
Change in Cumulative COVID-19 Death Data
As a result of a data reclassification by the Commonwealth, COVID-associated deaths reported for Cambridge residents have been adjusted to reflect 19 additional deaths dating from the onset of the pandemic in March 2020.

April Selection: Better the Blood by Michael Bennett. This book group will meet virtually and in person at the Boudreau Branch. We will discuss current and classic mystery titles.
