Free Finished Compost from Yard Waste Program Being Distributed Oct 29
The City of Cambridge will be distributing finished compost free of charge to Cambridge residents on Saturday, October 29, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., at Joan Lorentz Park, (in front of Cambridge Public Library), 449 Broadway, Cambridge. The rain date is October 30 at same time and location.
Deferred Compensation Plans
The City provides employees with access to a Deferred Compensation Plan which allows employees to invest a portion of their wages through payroll deduction on a tax deferred basis in a variety of investment vehicles such as stock and bond mutual funds, guaranteed accumulation accounts, and money market funds.
Reopening Cambridge
The City of Cambridge and Commonwealth of Massachusetts are working to safely reopen the economy, get people back to work, and ease social restrictions while minimizing the health impacts of COVID-19. The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, 2025, due to scheduled community events including the VIVA CENTRAL Block Party, the CEOC 60th Anniversary Celebration, and the 40th Annual Harvard Square MayFair.
