Following the tragic January 4th fatal police shooting of Arif Sayed Faisal, there have been calls by members within and beyond the Cambridge community for greater transparency, including the public release of the involved officer’s name. Please find an update with the latest information on steps that have been and are being taken since that tragic day.

In this year’s Fortune’s 50 Best Places to Live for Families list, the City of Cambridge ranked #1, topping the charts on metrics ranging from quality of healthcare, aging resources, and education, to community connectedness. Cambridge officials are taking note and investing in strengthening their residents’ bonds.

The Fund has distributed 42 grants with an average award of $103,000. It has provided both deep and broad support to the sector, bolstering organizations providing a wide range of programs in Cambridge, from early childhood education and youth development, to arts and culture, affordable housing preservation, shelter provision and much more.
