Learn the basics of beaded jewelry making and the difference between semi-precious stones and precious stones. Participants will keep all pieces they make. This will be an in-person program at the Central Square Branch - Lewis Room. Space is limited to 10 participants. Led by Zangar Freeman.

Apply to DHSP Summer Camps and Programs
The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer camps and programs to Cambridge children and youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade. At these summer camps, children and youth learn new skills, make connections, and have fun! Activities include art, sports, swimming, field trips, and more. All DHSP summer camps and programs are filled through a lottery process. The online application process closes Sunday March 3.
Families and Community Invited to Pfizer Vaccine and Flu Clinics at King Open School on Nov. 10 and Dec. 1
Students, families, and the community are invited to get their free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine or booster shot on Wednesday, Nov. 10 and Wednesday, Dec. 1 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the King Open School located at 850 Cambridge Street. Flu vaccine, including FluMist and high-dose vaccine, will also be offered.
City of Cambridge to Host Danehy Park Family Day September 21
The City of Cambridge will once again host Danehy Park Family Day on Saturday, September 21, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Danehy Park is a 55-acre facility located at 99 Sherman Street in North Cambridge (adjacent to Garden and New Streets). The event rain date is September 28, 2024. 
THE NEXT DREAM: Documentary Screening and Discussion (Main)
Join the Cambridge Public Library for a screening of The Next Dream, an independent documentary about more than one million Temporary Protected Status (TPS) families across the U.S., who are at risk of deportation and family separation. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with members of the National TPS Alliance and the film's producers. Come and meet members of the TPS families, learn about their struggles, and discuss how we may support our neighbors across the country. To learn more about this project, please click here. Registration is encouraged, but not required.
