Are you looking for fun stuff to do when boredom strikes? Take home a packet of simple activities such as mazes, word searches and drawing prompts. Find ideas for fun requiring only a few things and lots of imagination.
Each packet contains a few pages sourced from Anorak Magazine, the ‘happy mag for kids’ designed to inspire and encourage children to tap into their natural creativity and learn while having fun.

Cambridge Open Data Department to Host Hands-On Public Workshop
Curious about Cambridge Open Data but don't know where to start? The Cambridge Open Data Department will host a hands-on public workshop on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 6:00 PM in the Rossi Room at the Main Library, 449 Broadway. We welcome everyone interested in learning more about finding and using the City’s data. Come learn about the kinds of data we have, how to access it, and what you can do with it.
Library Catalog 101: Search the Catalog with Ease (Main)
In this class, Cambridge Public Library staff will teach you how to look for books, films, and other resources available in the catalog. We will review how to perform basic and advanced searches, learn how to log in to your account with your library card, and better understand all of the formats and locations available in the catalog. Attendees should be comfortable using the computer and navigating the Internet independently, but no prior knowledge of the catalog is needed. Registration is required.
Waymo Testing
We wanted to make the community aware that starting May 19, 2025, a small number of Waymo vehicles will be operating in the Greater Boston Area, including Cambridge, Somerville, Boston, and Boston Logan Airport (MassPort property).

Take fear and uncertainty out of the future by being prepared for changes in health. This session will cover topics and tips related to preparing for sudden changes and what you can do to minimize the impact of illness, such as advanced directives, emergency planning, and communication.
This event will be held online. A Zoom link will be sent to registrants one hour before the session begins.
Swinging Into Inclusivity
Place several inclusive swing sets in parks to allow children with mobility disabilities to play with able bodied children. This will take a stand against ableism by enabling kids of all abilities to play together.

Apply to DHSP Summer Camps and Programs
The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer camps and programs to Cambridge children and youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade. At these summer camps, children and youth learn new skills, make connections, and have fun! Activities include art, sports, swimming, field trips, and more. All DHSP summer camps and programs are filled through a lottery process. The online application process closes Sunday March 3.
Short Story Reading Group
Drop by the Cambridge Public Library Central Square Branch's Lewis Room to read and discuss a short story together. Copies of the story will be provided, along with snacks. No preparation or registration required!
