While we cannot predict when the state of emergency will be declared over by the Governor, the City of Cambridge will work with affected businesses to find a way to support and assist them in identifying mechanisms to legally maintain their outdoor area and keep it operational through the end of the calendar year.

TP+T has received a petition from a group of Cambridge residents requesting that we add "Parking by Permit Only" signs in the Cambridge Highlands. The City is conducting a survey to gauge neighborhood interest in this change.

A block party is a community event hosted on a City street by a group of neighbors, a non-profit organization, or an association. During a block party, a portion a single block is closed to through traffic.

People of all ages who enjoy children's books can read and discuss together. Food will be provided. This month we will read and discuss Words with Wings and Magic Things by Matthew Burgess. MIT in collaboration with the City of Cambridge is planning to install a new drainage structure from Talbot Street to the Charles River to improve stormwater management in the area due to current and future development. The project will begin construction in October of this year and continue through to the Fall of 2019.

The primary purposes of the Advisory Board are to oversee the general stewardship of Fresh Pond Reservation in accordance with the Master Plan and to maintain collaborative relationships among City departments and user groups that impact the Reservation. The Advisory Board also provides a forum for public discussion and evaluation of proposals for land-use and land-management projects.
