Summer Fitness: Strength Training for Beginners (Main)
Curious about strength training but unsure where to begin? This welcoming, beginner-friendly program is designed to remove the uncertainty and help you build a strong, confident foundation—safely and effectively.
Led by master fitness trainer, author, and motivational speaker Shaun Zetlin, this session introduces simple, practical bodyweight exercises that focus on stability, strength, and power. Participants will learn how to move with proper form, reduce the risk of injury, and incorporate efficient, effective workouts into a busy schedule—no gym required. All exercises are approachable and adaptable, with many options performed at home using minimal or no equipment.
Registration is preferred not required.
CPL Nature Club: Seed Swap (O'Neill)
Bring the extra garden seeds you don't think you will plant this year! See what your neighbors have before you purchase more! We will have envelopes and pens to help keep them straight. If you don't have seeds, come anyway, as we will have extras.
This event is co-hosted by Cambridge City Growers, a group of volunteers across Cambridge working to start up gardens in neighborhoods to increase access to healthy, organic, and locally grown food.

221 Mt Auburn Street
In 2023, structural deficiencies were identified in the nine-story building at 221 Mount Auburn Street, the Riverview Condominiums. During exploratory work for roof and drainage repairs, engineers discovered that the building was not built as originally designed.
To reduce the weight in the building, all residents moved out by the end of 2024. After evaluating various repair options, the Condo Association has concluded that fixing the building is not feasible, and it will need to be taken down. The City is working closely with the Condo Association on reviewing the situation and planning for demolition of the nine-story building.
