Cambridge to Host Sensory Friendly Touch-A-Truck 4-22
The Cambridge Police Department and local partners will be hosting a Touch-A-Truck event outside the Robert W. Healy Public Safety Building on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 11:00am - 2:00pm. In recognition of Autism Awareness / Acceptance Month this will be a sensory friendly event.

Commonwealth Elevates Cambridge and Northeast Region To Critical Drought Status
Despite the considerable snowfall that Cambridge and the greater region has had this winter, drought conditions have been elevated due to limited groundwater recharge this winter. The Secretary of the Commonwealth’s Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) elevated the Northeast Region of Massachusetts, which includes Cambridge, from a Level 2 - Significant Drought to a Level 3 - Critical Drought earlier this week. In response to the ongoing drought, Cambridge has implemented strict water use restrictions.

CPD's Secret Santa for Seniors Gift Drive is Back for Its 18th Year
As you begin your holiday shopping or if you’re preparing in advance of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and/or Cyber Monday, the Cambridge Police Department wants to encourage residents and businesses to once again consider supporting the “Secret Santa for Seniors” gift drive. Now in its 18th year, the gift drive brings gifts and joy to seniors who may not have any remaining family members or loved ones nearby during the holiday season.
Council on Aging
The Cambridge Council on Aging (COA) works to promote and support the health and independence of Cambridge seniors (adults age 60 and older).
Cambridge Science Festival
The Science Carnival is a beloved yearly highlight of the Cambridge STEAM calendar and features over 125 activity booths and demonstrations, with live music and installations.
