The City of Cambridge is desinging a bridge over the MBTA Commuter Rail train line connecting the Rindge Avenue neighborhood and Danehy Park.

Learn more about all of the active construction projects, including private development and City of Cambridge infrastructure work taking place in the Kendall Square Area. Some of these projects include Galileo Galilei Way & Broadway Streetscape Binney Park, Lechmere MBTA Station, CambridgeSide, 161 First St., 325 Main St. 600 Main Street, Binney Park, Volpe Federal Building, The Foundry, 40 Thorndike St.

Parking permits allow residents and visitors to park in areas designated "Parking by Permit Only," on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cool Spots are public spaces where community members are encouraged to gather, connect, and cool off. In the first round of implementation completed in June 2025, four pilot locations for Cool Spots have been launched across the City.
