This publication is mailed to Cambridge residential households twice annually, generally in June and November. The summer issue highlights key City initiatives for the FY24 fiscal year from July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.

The City of Cambridge will celebrate National Women's Business Month during October to recognize the importance of women-owned businesses and highlight the women entrepreneurs who contribute so much to the local Cambridge economy.

The fourth Cambridge Participatory Budgeting (PB) cycle ran from May to December 2017. The City set aside $800,000 of the FY19 Budget for one-time capital PB projects to improve the community. PB Cycle 4 Timeline

Pollinator gardens are gardens specifically for native plant species that provide pollinator resources for local wildlife. This project will design and plant a pollinator garden within a city park to attract and nourish native pollinators!

Let’s green our streets by planting 100 trees in neighborhoods lacking foliage! From cooling heat islands to cleaning our air, these trees will be a long-term investment in making our city a healthier, happier place.

Google Calendar can help you stay organized. Learn how to schedule meetings, create tasks, and manage events with Google Calendar. A Google (Gmail) account is required for the class. Please remember your email address and password, you will need them to sign in and practice during the class. Laptops will be provided for the class. Cambridge businesses - please take a moment to fill out this survey about impressions on doing business or attempting to do business with the City of Cambridge. This survey is a part of the City's Disparity Study.

Come to the Library to create something special! Use your own supplies or try out our equipment! You can use our 1-inch button maker, 2.5 inch button maker, 3-D Doodle pens, or Janome sewing machines. The Library will provide basic supplies. This drop-in program is for people who feel comfortable using these machines on their own. The Library will not provide instruction. Anyone wishing to use the sewing machines must have completed a Sewing 101 training through the Library. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The City continues its work to support language justice, the right to understand and be understood in the language in which a person is most comfortable.

Through the Main Street Safety Improvement Project, the City will add separated bike lanes to Main Street between Massachusetts Avenue and Portland Street, creating a more-comfortable bike connection between the Port and Central Square.
