Vampire Orienteering at Danehy Park
Join Navigation Games for Vampire Orienteering, a free and fun outdoor event for all ages at Danehy Park! Teams of 2–4 people will travel through the park and use a special map to look for checkpoints — before vampires steal them! The City is pleased to release the 2020 Canopy Assessment completed by the University of Vermont, which shows that the implementation of the Urban Forestry Master Plan is improving our tree canopy. Building canopy is a slow and steady race, but we are seeing substantive progress. The investments in tree plantings and maintenance combined with tree preservation initiatives are reversing the loss of tree canopy.

Artful Mechanisms with Playful Engineers (Valente)
Join us to celebrate Jasmine Warga's A Rover's Story, which tells the story of a rover's journey to Mars and the challenges it faces there. We will celebrate by building some artful mechanisms with Playful Engineers! Use simple machines to create mechanical automata and solve problems similar to those faced by rovers on Mars - using materials you could find around your own home. Registration is required. This event is part of a special series promoting our 2026 Curious George Lecture (CGL) with Jasmine Warga, award-winning author of A Rover's Story, Other Words for Home, and many other popular children's books. Save the Date: the Lecture will take place on Wednesday, April 15, 6 p.m. at the Main Library. Funding is generously provided by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation.

A Special Event is a large event such as a festival, road race, parade, film shoot or walkathon. Such events may feature entertainment, amusement rides and food and beverages. Special events may require a number of permits from various City departments depending on the size and nature of the event. The City's Public Works Department manages the City's Special Event program.

Half Crown-Marsh NCD Decennial Review Public Meeting
CANCELLED - Public Hearing of the Half Crown-Marsh Neighborhood Conservation District Commission in order to review applications to alter designated properties and other matters under the provisions of Chapter 2.78 of the Code of the City of Cambridge and the order establishing the district. The Commission has a monthly meeting calendar, though meetings may be cancelled if no applications are received.
