Please remember your email address and password, you will need them to sign in and practice during the class. Laptops will be provided for the class. Free Menstrual Care and Infant Hygiene Products
Short Description: People who cannot afford hygiene products are forced to make difficult decisions. Help expand accessibility of menstrual and hygiene care products to include diapers, baby wipes, and other products in City buildings for three years.
Drop-in Maker Studio (O'Neill)
Come to the Library to create something special! Use your own supplies or try out our equipment! You can use our 1-inch button maker, 2.5 inch button maker, 3-D Doodle pens, or Janome sewing machines. The Library will provide basic supplies. This drop-in program is for people who feel comfortable using these machines on their own. The Library will not provide instruction. Anyone wishing to use the sewing machines must have completed a Sewing 101 training through the Library. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Roadway Paving Enhancements Beginning Week of June 8
Beginning the week of June 8, weather permitting, the City’s contractor, Newport Construction, will be performing roadway milling (grinding) and paving operations to enhance the road conditions on several sections of street around the City.
Members Sought for Safety Improvement Project on Cambridge Street Working Group
This project will: Add separated bike lanes on Cambridge Street between Inman Square and Second Street, meeting the requirements of the City of Cambridge’s Cycling Safety Ordinance to build a network of separated bike lanes throughout the City; Make changes to the street to improve safety for all users, including for people walking, biking, taking transit, and driving; Construct new bus stops, with boarding platforms that extend further into the street, reducing bus delay and improving the experience of using and waiting for the bus.

The City of Cambridge launched the 10th Cycle of Participatory Budgeting and collected over 1,100 ideas from the community between September 11 – October 9, 2023, about how to spend $2 million on projects to improve Cambridge.
Listen Up Public Meeting Space Hearing Technology
Increase accessibility for people with hearing disabilities by installing technology that provides direct audio input to most hearing aid and cochlear implant users in a public meeting space such as a library or City Hall meeting room.
Summer Reading at the Main Library with Kate Brown
The City of Cambridge Community Garden program is partnering with the Cambridge Public Library to host a summer reading to uncover the radical roots of urban gardening with Kate Brown, author of Tiny Gardens Everywhere (2026).
