The Affordable Housing Trust will hold its monthly meeting in-person and via Zoom webinar. January's meeting will be held on January 22, 2026 at 4 p.m. at City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Ave, in the Ackermann Room. Register to join the January 2026 Affordable Housing Trust meeting.

Street Cleaning and Yard Waste Pickup Resume on Tuesday, April 1 for the 2025 Season
Street cleaning resumes on Tuesday, April 1 for the 2025 season. Just like last year, vehicles will not be towed during street cleaning operations. However, it's essential for residents to move their vehicles according to the posted street cleaning schedule to ensure thorough cleaning of our City streets. Parking tickets of $100 will be issued to those who do not move their vehicles.

Open Data Workshop (Main)
The City of Cambridge offers free access to hundreds of datasets on its Open Data Portal, covering everything from crime and traffic to property and even dog names. Join us for a hands-on workshop at the Cambridge Public Library to explore what's available and learn how to analyze and visualize this data. No prior experience or expertise is required. Community Nights at Russell Youth Center
Beginning Friday, February 27, CYP is launching Community Friday Nights, a weekly program designed to bring neighbors of all ages together in a welcoming and positive environment. Join us at Russell Youth and Community Center every Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. for an evening filled with engaging activities, meaningful connections, and opportunities to build stronger relationships within the neighborhood and across the city.
Summer Reading: Reading with Chickens from Land's Sake Farm (Collins)
Join us for a story time where we learn about the animals that live at Land’s Sake Farm! This story time will feature chickens. Recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. No registration required.

Upcoming Vaccine Clinic this Saturday, May 15
There will be a COVID-19 vaccine clinic this Saturday, May 15th, from 9:30am - 12:00pm at the Cambridge Community Center located at 5 Callender St. in Cambridge. This clinic is a collaboration among the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) & Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), My Brother’s Keeper (MBK), City Manager’s Office, Mayor Siddiqui’s Office, Cambridge Community Center, and Tufts Medical School.
COVID-19 Case Increase in July
New infections among Cambridge residents have increased in July, with 83 confirmed and probable cases reported so far this month (July 1-20), according to the Cambridge Public Health Department. The City and the Public Health Department are closely monitoring COVID-19 case trends in Cambridge and the Commonwealth, and will continue to issue updates and critical information to the community.
Artful Mechanisms with Playful Engineers (Valente)
Join us to celebrate Jasmine Warga's A Rover's Story, which tells the story of a rover's journey to Mars and the challenges it faces there. We will celebrate by building some artful mechanisms with Playful Engineers! Use simple machines to create mechanical automata and solve problems similar to those faced by rovers on Mars - using materials you could find around your own home. Registration is required.
This event is part of a special series promoting our 2026 Curious George Lecture (CGL) with Jasmine Warga, award-winning author of A Rover's Story, Other Words for Home, and many other popular children's books. Save the Date: the Lecture will take place on Wednesday, April 15, 6 p.m. at the Main Library.
