The City of Cambridge launched the 8th Cycle of Participatory Budgeting (PB8) in 2021.
Summer Fitness: Strength Training for Beginners (Main)
Curious about strength training but unsure where to begin? This welcoming, beginner-friendly program is designed to remove the uncertainty and help you build a strong, confident foundation—safely and effectively.
Led by master fitness trainer, author, and motivational speaker Shaun Zetlin, this session introduces simple, practical bodyweight exercises that focus on stability, strength, and power. Participants will learn how to move with proper form, reduce the risk of injury, and incorporate efficient, effective workouts into a busy schedule—no gym required. All exercises are approachable and adaptable, with many options performed at home using minimal or no equipment.
Registration is preferred not required.
“Still Marching 1970-2017” Photography Exhibit (Main)
Liane Brandon’s photographs of the historic International Women’s Day March of 1970 and the Boston Women’s March of 2017 will be on exhibit.
The photographs of the International Women's March are of great historical impact and are, additionally, beautiful works of art in and of themselves.

Liane Brandon received funding for "Still Marching" through a Local Cultural Council Grant from Cambridge Arts.
Did You Know
As a result of a City Lighting Study by the Electrical Department and the Community Development Department, it was determined that there was an opportunity for the city to have greater energy efficiency and light quality with LED fixtures.
The Cambridge Life
The Cambridge Life Magazine is a biannual publication of the City of Cambridge Public Information Office that is mailed to residential households in February and September. This magazine generally provides more extensive features of key City initiatives and programs.
