Buildings
Cambridge has regulations that require buildings to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, be fossil fuel free, be energy efficient, improve resiliency, and prepare for the impacts of climate change.
2019 Benthic Macroinvertebrate Report
In 2019, CWD analyzed benthic macroinvertebrates in four tributaries in the Cambridge surface water supply watershed. These results are presented in the 2019 Benthic Macroinvertebrate Report.
Plans and Policies
Cambridge has carefully planned and created policies that gave the City a unified roadmap and enforceable standards to cut building greenhouse gas emissions and energy use, reduce waste and electrify transportation, and harden infrastructure citywide. They also institutionalized accountability for measurable outcomes.
Cycle to the Source

BEUDO
The Building Energy Use Disclosure Ordinance lays out steps for non-residential buildings 100,000 square feet or larger to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2035, and for non-residential buildings with more than 25,000 square feet to reach net zero by 2050.
