Our Magic Tree House book group for kids ages 5-10 meets the first Friday of the month. Pick up a copy of the book beforehand. Our October book is Magic Tree House #2, "The Knight at Dawn." This event is onsite at O'Connell, with the option to attend virtually. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants 1 hour before the event. Need a laptop or hotspot to participate? Youth ages 10+ are welcome to join us for a single session of cooperative storytelling and role-play table-top game Dungeons & Dragons. Youth who have never played are encouraged to Try it!, youth with DnD experience are welcome. No registration required. The City Manager Performance Review process enables greater accountability, transparency, and feedback. This is the second year we have conducted a City Manager Performance Review. This review is the result of a structured process that began with approving the performance review process and City Manager Goals at the April 12 Government Operations Committee meeting. We held a mid-year check-in at the August 5 Government Operations Committee. This next step, submitting an annual review of goals and performance by November 15 will be followed by the City Council’s formal evaluation delivered at a Special City Council Meeting on December 11.

Join Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui to celebrate the winners of the 2026 Cambridge City Nature Art Challenge and view their art on display. We will have food and nature art activities for all ages. This event is presented as a part of the Cambridge Public Library Nature Club.

While COVID-19 cases are declining, infection rates are still high in Cambridge and the state. The Cambridge Public Health Department reminds residents who have COVID-19 to notify your close contacts so that they may take precautions to help stop the spread. A close contact is anyone who has been within 6 feet of you for 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period while indoors during the two days before you got sick OR the two days before your positive test was taken if you don’t have symptoms. By telling your close contacts that they may have been in contact with COVID-19, you are helping to protect everyone.
