Wellness for Older Adults: Zumba Gold (Main)
Join instructor Darren Hairston for Zumba Gold – the fun and energizing dance fitness class tailored for active older adults and beginners! Set to vibrant, upbeat music, Zumba Gold features low-impact, easy-to-follow dance moves that make staying fit enjoyable and accessible for all fitness levels. Papel Picado (Main)
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by making your own papel picado ("pecked paper") inspired by beautiful folk art examples from Mexico.
We will provide the tissue paper and scissors, you bring your imagination! Recommended for children ages 7 years old and up and their caregivers. Registration is not required for this event.
Brewery Book Club (Lamplighter)
You’re invited to our September Brewery Book Club, where Lamplighter and the Cambridge Public Library team up to highlight contemporary works from marginalized voices while having a beer. We meet at Lamplighter Brewing Co., 284 Broadway, in the back taproom.
This month we’ll read I Leave It Up to You by Jinwoo Chong.
Copies of the book are available at the Main Library Q&A Desk. The e-book and digital audiobook can be borrowed through the Libby app.
We’ll gather in the Lamplighter back taproom to discuss the book, what we learned from it, what we found ourselves touched by, and all other thoughts.

Information on Volunteering in the Massachusetts COVID-19 Vaccine Effort
As COVID-19 vaccination efforts continue to ramp up in the Commonwealth, we are working to match both clinical and non-clinical volunteers to vaccination sites where they can offer important assistance based on site specific needs We are also building lists of potential volunteers to maximize overall response efforts.
Read to a Dog (O'Neill)
Read with a cuddly friend! Trained therapy dogs provide warm and nonjudgmental reading companions for new or experienced readers up to age 14. Registration for each 10-minute time slot is required and begins on Tuesday, April 1 by calling or visiting the O’Neill Branch Library at 617-349-4023.
City of Cambridge Thanksgiving Holiday Closures and Service Information
Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will be suspended on Thursday, November 24 and will be one day behind schedule the rest of the week. Street cleaning will be suspended on both Thursday and Friday November 24-25. Streets that would have normally been swept on Thursday, November 24 will be made up on November 29, and streets that would have normally been swept on Friday, November 25 will be made up on November 30. The CIC Health COVID-19 test site at 295 Third Street will close on Wednesday, November 23 at 12 p.m. and will remain closed November 24-26. Testing will resume as normal on Sunday, November 27.

Watercolor Adventures for Kids (Valente)
