Don’t think you have what it takes to use a sewing machine? Think again! In this FREE workshop, teens from the Cambridge Community Art Center will teach you how to properly thread a machine, sew a straight stitch, hem and unfinished edge, and secure your stitches. Practice by sewing colorful shapes onto small flags. Following the workshop, the flags will be made into a banner and displayed at the Library. No experience necessary. The guide outlines care and custody options, including caregiver authorization, temporary agent authorization, and guardianship of a minor. The guide offers a comparison of how these options differ, and outlines the process for setting up each of these arrangements. It also offers a checklist of documents that parents may want to ensure they have in a safe place and available to the child and his or her caregiver as needed, such as passports, medical records, contact information and more.

The Social Media Strategy Workshops Series are three workshops designed to be taken together as each one builds upon the next workshop. In this three-session workshop series, you'll be building your own social media strategy from the ground up, including making your own graphics with Canva, researching effective hashtags for your business, and reviewing how to post on different social media platforms. At the end of this workshop series, you'll leave with a social media plan that you can start using immediately!

Calling all middle grade readers! Meet up in the Curious George Room every third Thursday to eat pizza and talk about books with your friends. Each month’s book will be chosen during the previous meeting. We're starting off by reading Air by Monica Roe. Copies are available behind the Children's Desk Snacks are provided. Learn about the rabbits raised at Land’s Sake. This program includes a rabbit-themed story time, learning about rabbit behavior and anatomy, and a rabbit themed game. The highlight of the program is the Bunny Circle, where youth are able to touch and interact with live rabbits. This program is recommended for children ages 4 and up. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required - please register the total number of children who will be in your group.

Join us for a 60-minute puppet-making workshop following the performance of, Enchanted Castle, by Rosalita's Puppets. For children ages 5 and up and their caregivers. This program can accommodate 30 children. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket.
