Summer Reading: Storytelling with Ben Cunningham (Boudreau)
Join local artist, musician and educator Ben Cunningham for a transformative storytelling performance. The Story Terrarium is not your average storytelling experience—it's an educational, interactive adventure. This program is for children of all ages and their caregivers. No tickets needed. Funding for Summer Reading has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation and Friends of the Cambridge Public Library.
Summer Reading: Drop-In Button Making Workshop (Boudreau)
Come try your hand at making a beautiful pin or magnet! Draw your own design, and learn to use our button making machine. Each attendee will have the opportunity to make one or two printed designs as well. This event is recommended for school-age children. No registration necessary - just drop in anytime during the event (while supplies last).
Summer Reading: Yo-Yo Show (O'Neill)
Join us for a high energy comedy yo-yo show. For children of all ages and their caregivers. This program will happen outside. In case of bad weather, this program will happen inside the Peabody School gym Funding for Summer Reading has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Cambridge Public Library and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
Artificial Intelligence, Emotions, & Mental Health (Main)
Learn how to mitigate potential risks associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) use and understand how these risks may impact or exacerbate underlying mental health diagnoses. This class will be delivered by a DOORS program instructor. CPL Adult Summer Camp: Plant Identification Nature Walk
Join us for one, two, or all CPL Adult Summer Camp activities to meet new people and have nostalgic fun outside in Cambridge! Meet at Lechmere Station to admire and identify Cambridge trees, plants, and more using iNaturalist with your neighbors! We will Walk through the Common at Cambridge Crossing into North Point Park. In case of rain/high heat, this event will be postponed. Registration Recommended.
Sacred Songs and Rituals: Celebrating Greek American Heritage Month with REVMA (Main)
Join us for a special Sacred Songs and Rituals performance in celebration of Greek American Heritage month with REVMA, a band that is known for its high-octane performances of Greek traditional Music. The band is comprised of: Sandy Theodorou on accordion, laouto, vocals; Rohan Gregory on violin; and Fabio Pirozzolo on percussion. Sacred Songs and Rituals is a music series which celebrates the many different cultures found in the City of Cambridge. Registration is helpful but not required.
