Summer Reading: Music and Movement with Rockabye Beats
Rock out with rhythm sticks, tambourines and shakers in this interactive music and movement program. Recommended for ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Registration is not required for this event. Funding for Summer Reading has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Cambridge Public Library and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
Summer Reading: Community Build (O'Neill)
Join friends at the O'Neill Branch to build, build, BUILD! Let your imagination run wild with LEGOs, Magna-Tiles and other building toys. The Library has plenty of LEGO pieces, so you don't need to bring your own. For children ages 5 and up. Children under age 7 must be accompanied by a caregiver. LEGO pieces are choking hazards for young children.
Board Game Party (Valente)
Join us for at the Valente Branch for a game filled afternoon! Play board games with family, friends and neighbors. This drop-in program is recommended for children aged 5+ and their caretakers.
CPL Nature Club: Fall Leaf Rubbing (Main)
Leaves are falling and fall is here! Let’s learn about the trees in the park through stories and leaf rubbings. Recommended for children ages 5-8 and their caregivers.
Crafternoon: Cardboard Loom Weaving
Learn a new hobby and make a textured art piece with cardboard loom weaving! All materials are provided. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Registration is not required for this event.
O'Neill Branch Book Group (O'Neill)
November Selection: Nicked by M. T. Anderson A book discussion group for adults at the O'Neill Branch Library, reading a mixture of fiction and nonfiction. Past titles include Gathering Moss by Robin Wall Kimmerer and Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell. Print copies are available for pickup at the O'Neill Branch Library. This month's book selection is also available as a digital audiobook through Libby/OverDrive.
