An overview of the Cambridge Police Department's daily calls for service

On June 22, 2022, “The VOTES Act” was signed into law. The VOTES Act makes several temporary election administration changes, which were instituted in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, permanent. Early voting is available to all voters for the State Election, November 8, 2022. Early voting is available by mail and in person to all registered voters and no excuse is required.

Fall 2015

The Inspectional Services Department issues plumbing permits for all work to be performed.

The Inspectional Services Department issues gas fitting permits for all work to be performed.

Inspectional Services enforces the State Sanitary Code for various establishments, including the issuance of temporary food handler permits for special events and farmer's markets.

The Inspectional Services Department manages building permit applications that may require pre-approval from the Fire Department located at 491 Broadway.
