Join the Department of Transportation to learn about proposed safety improvements on Quincy St between Cambridge St and Kirkland St and Kirkland St between Quincy St and Oxford St.

Neighborhood Conservation Districts were established by city ordinance in 1983. Conservation district designation recognizes a distinctive physical environment that reflects the architectural, cultural, political, economic, or social history of the city. NCDs foster wider public knowledge and appreciation of such neighborhoods. Designation encourages the conservation and maintenance of these areas so that the city may be a more attractive and desirable place in which to live and work.

We need new chairs in CPS schools, specifically the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS), Cambridge Street Upper School, Putnam Avenue Upper School, and Rindge Avenue Upper School.

Digital sign that will scroll announcements in multiple languages and welcome people to Cambridge. It will be easily seen when residents go by and will be a prototype that if successful can be replicated in other areas of the city.

A Working Group meeting where the working group members will discuss public feedback from the 9/26 community meeting, review the community-based goals, and establish the approach for future recommendations for North Mass Ave.

This project will fund an iPad lending kiosk and 16 iPads, as well as a permanent interactive screen in the Children’s Room of the Main Library.

Circulating activity kits support playful exploration and learning and they are available for a range of ages.

The planning team will share recommendations developed with the community over the course of the sixteen-month planning process that will help to Make Mass Ave more beautiful, produce more housing , provide more neighborhood amenities, support small businesses, and improve sidewalks and walkability
