Various City departments will be hosting or sponsoring a series of Halloween events in Cambridge between October 29 -31, 2025.

Thanks to generosity of The Stone Family Charitable Foundation, The Kennek Foundation recently donated 50 Trouble Dog Stuffed Animals to Cambridge Public Safety.

The DGBVPI works to improve access and use of services through community partnerships. We co-facilitate the Cambridge Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and the DGBVPI Steering Committee. In these settings, organizations gain a deeper understanding of how DGBV shows up in different settings and collaborate to find ways to address it. We work to make sure the Cambridge community has, “no wrong door” for survivors seeking services or someone causing harm who wants to change their behavior.

The City of Cambridge will be hosting two final public meetings for the latest updated draft to the city’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. Both meetings will occur on Wednesday, October 25.

Due to the temporary closure of the O'Neill Branch, this month's story time will happen at the Peabody School at 70 Rindge Ave. Please enter the building on the back side through Door 11. Put on your pajamas and come to listen to stories, read with your children, and enjoy a snack before bed! This program is recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. Pajama Story Time is presented by the Cambridge Public Library and the Center for Families.

Anyone seeking to construct, alter, repair, or demolish a structure must first obtain a building permit. The building permit must be obtained before the start of any work and prominently posted at the job site.

The training exercise will be held at the Cambridge Health Alliance East Cambridge Care Center on 163 Gore Street.

Put on your best costume and join the Mayor’s Office, the City Manager’s Office, Cambridge Police, Cambridge Fire, and other City Departments for candy, pumpkin painting, other arts and crafts, and more Halloween Fun. Feel free to attend for as long as you'd like and then continue trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.
