Summer Reading: Crafternoon Dinosaur Airplanes (Collins)
Instructions and supplies will be provided for an afternoon activity. Learn to fold paper airplanes inspired by flying dinosaurs. We'll follow complex instructions and share flying tips to make these Jurassic models. Recommended for ages 6-12 with a caregiver.
Broadway Working Group February 2026
On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., we will host the sixth Working Group Meeting for the Broadway Safety Improvement Project. This meeting will specifically focus on the design plans for Section B of the project.
Give your unwanted bikes a new life to benefit a community member!
The City of Cambridge has partnered with Cambridge Bike Give Back (CBGB) to help eligible Cambridge residents get refurbished bicycles.
You can help in this effort by donating your unwanted bikes for refurbishing and CBGB will pass them on to a person or persons in need. Cambridge Bike Give Back will be collecting bike donations on Sunday, June 15, from 11am to 2pm, at Green Rose Heritage Park.

240 Broadway (Broadway Park)
Just A Start (JAS) is planning to create new affordable rental housing on an existing JAS-controlled site located at 243 Broadway in the Port neighborhood. Known as Broadway Park, the site is currently an existing parking lot and will be developed in conjunction with another new JAS project, 37 Brookline Street, as a scattered-site affordable rental housing project. The new housing at both Broadway Park and 37 Brookline Street will be built to Passive House standards, ensuring maximum energy efficiency.
“Still Marching 1970-2017” Exhibit Opening Reception
“Still Marching 1970-2017,” an exhibition of original photographs by Liane Brandon, opens with a reception sponsored by the Cambridge Public Library, the Cambridge Women's Commission, and the Cambridge Historical Commission. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is not required. Liane Brandon received funding for "Still Marching" through a Local Cultural Council Grant from the Cambridge Arts Council.
Fatal Bike Crash Under Investigation in Cambridge
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Christine Elow have confirmed an ongoing investigation into a fatal crash involving a box truck and cyclist that occurred at about 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Hampshire Street and Portland Street.
Taylor Square Fire Station Improvement Project
