The Expressive Healing Group is a support group co-facilitated by the Central Square Branch Manager, Ruby Vail, and the Library Social Worker, Brett Dixon, that offers a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore healing and self-expression through the art of creative writing.

Just A Start is proud to announce an affordable housing lottery for 14 new one and two-bedroom apartments in Cambridge at the Rindge Commons North project. An additional 8 units will be leased by the Cambridge Housing Authority waitlist, and 2 Community Based Housing (CBH) units will be leased by the Massachusetts Rehab Commission waitlist.

The Cambridge Police Department has a number of unique volunteer and employment programs designed specifically for young residents interested in a career in public safety. Through four primary programs —Youth Public Safety Academy, Explorers Program, Youth Police Academy and the Cadet Program — Cambridge youth ages 8-23 years old have several opportunities to gain exposure within the department by meeting with officers, receiving classroom training, gaining hands-on experience, and obtaining valuable leadership skills.

Join us at the Cambridge Senior Center (806 Massachusetts Ave.) on Wednesday, September 25 at 12 p.m. This event is part of the ongoing commitment of the Mayor, City Manager, and Council on Aging to address the needs and concerns of Cambridge's senior residents. We welcome seniors and other community members to share their thoughts, questions, and insights.

Make and color a paper camera and some snapshots to illustrate all your best summer memories to share with your school-friends. All materials are provided. Recommended for children ages 5 - 8. The City of Cambridge issued an emergency order requiring that face coverings be worn in all public places, businesses and common areas of residential buildings. The order takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, and applies to everyone over the age of five years old. Violations may be punishable by a $300 fine.

There will be a COVID-19 vaccine clinic this Saturday, May 15th, from 9:30am - 12:00pm at the Cambridge Community Center located at 5 Callender St. in Cambridge. This clinic is a collaboration among the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) & Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), My Brother’s Keeper (MBK), City Manager’s Office, Mayor Siddiqui’s Office, Cambridge Community Center, and Tufts Medical School.
