Learn about the rabbits raised at Land’s Sake. This program includes a rabbit-themed story time, learning about rabbit behavior and anatomy, and a rabbit themed game. The highlight of the program is the Bunny Circle, where youth are able to touch and interact with live rabbits. This program is recommended for children ages 4 and up. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required - please register the total number of children who will be in your group.

Mass Audubon will lead an exploration around the library in search of plants and animals, while using scientific tools like binoculars and magnifying lenses to get a closer look. We'll record what we find in our nature journals and play nature games. All materials will be provided. In the instance of bad weather, this program will take place in the Children's Room. The City of Cambridge Department of Veterans Services will host a Veterans Day Observance event on Saturday, November 11, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., at Cambridge Common. A Veterans Appreciation Week will be held November 13-17, at the Veterans' Life and Recreation Center, 51 Inman Street, 2nd floor, Cambridge. events will provide an opportunity for veterans and their loved ones to gather and participate in health, wellness, and other fun and interactive activities. Free food and refreshments will also be available each day from 12-4 p.m.

Our Magic Tree House book group for kids ages 5-10 meets the first Friday of the month. Pick up a copy of the book beforehand. Our December book is Magic Tree House #4, "Pirates Past Noon." This event is onsite at O'Connell, with the option to attend virtually. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants 1 hour before the event. Need a laptop or hotspot to participate?
