Greene-Rose Heritage Park
Greene-Rose Heritage Park lies along Harvard Street near the intersection with Moore Street. There is also an access point from Broadway near the intersection with Windsor Street. The park was expanded and renovated in 2008 and now includes a children’s playground, water play area, open field, benches, landscaping and trees, and public art installations.
Talbot Street Outfall
MIT in collaboration with the City of Cambridge is planning to install a new drainage structure from Talbot Street to the Charles River to improve stormwater management in the area due to current and future development. The project will begin construction in October of this year and continue through to the Fall of 2019.
Crafternoon: Lego Printmaking (Main)
Learn the basics of block printing by making your own one-color print using Legos! All materials are provided. LEGO pieces are choking hazards for young children. Recommended for ages 7 and up with a caregiver. This program can accommodate 15 printmakers and their caregiver. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. This program starts promptly and any unclaimed seats will be offered to someone waiting.
Four Charged in Connection with Drug Distribution in Cambridge and Somerville
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan, Cambridge Acting Police Commissioner Pauline Wells and Somerville Chief of Police Shumeane Benford have announced that four individuals have been charged in connection with their alleged participation in an operation to deal illicit narcotics in the Greater Boston area including in the communities of Cambridge and Somerville.
COA Expanded Programming
In response to community feedback and participation, the Cambridge Council on Aging will continue to offer programming for Cambridge adults age 60 and older at the Russell Youth and Community Center, 680 Huron Ave. Older adults are also invited to enjoy the Center’s Common Area on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Evening Story Time
We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for our monthly evening story time event. This program will run for 20-25 minutes, with songs, stories and rhymes. No registration is required.

10 - North Cambridge
North Cambridge, is a diverse neighborhood of over eleven thousand residents in an approximately 0.85 square mile area in the northernmost part of the city and bordered by Alewife Brook Reservation, the city of Somerville, the town of Arlington, and railroad tracks currently used by the Fitchburg Commuter Rail Branch of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA).
