Here are some tips to help prepare for potential emergencies in order to keep yourself, your family, and your business safe.

Local arts and cultural organizations, community groups, and other Cambridge-based nonprofit organizations are invited to table at the 2024 Cambridge Arts River Festival on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nonprofits can participate for free.

The next intensive construction phase for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s (MassDOT) upcoming Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Replacement Project is scheduled to take place between July 26-August 11, 2018. The City of Cambridge announced that it has rescinded its Amended Temporary Emergency Construction Order issued on June 22, 2020. Effective May 10, 2021, all construction in the city shall comply with the City of Cambridge Face Coverings Order, all applicable Commonwealth Mandatory Safety Standards for Workplaces, and the protocols for Sectors Not Otherwise Addressed.

Since Friday, October 2, seven residents of a Cambridge skilled nursing facility have tested positive for COVID-19. Five of the seven individuals are current residents of the facility; the other two individuals were discharged from the facility prior to testing positive and no longer reside in Cambridge. In addition, one facility employee who does not reside in Cambridge has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Cambridge Police Department announced that 30 new police officers graduated on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from the sixth Cambridge-Northeastern Police Academy class following a special graduation ceremony that was held at Northeastern University. The graduating officers join their respective departments after successfully completing 23 weeks of training, which started in January 2024. The sixth class includes 9 new Cambridge Police officers
