City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2023, in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Please also note that all library locations will also be closed on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Parking meter payments will not be required at Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations on January 1 and 2, 2023.

In the 2-day period of Friday & Saturday, February 3rd and 4th, 2023, fire companies across the city responded to numerous emergency calls for service.

The City of Cambridge is excited to once again invite community members to vote on projects aimed at improving the city as part of the 10th Participatory Budgeting (PB) process. Housing affordability promotes stability for our residents and allows for building the social, economic, and cultural bonds that strengthen a community. Creating and preserving affordable housing remains the City’s highest priority. In FY22, the City appropriated more than $32 million to the Affordable Housing Trust, bringing the total of City funds committed to the Trust to more than $278 million (FY92-FY22) to invest in affordable housing initiatives.
