The Cambridge Department of Public Health and the Council on Aging are offering free Blood Pressure Screenings for Cambridge residents 60 and older. Cambridge Public Health nurses will take your blood pressure and provide information about how to reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke.

City of Cambridge Extends Outdoor Dining
The City of Cambridge announced it is extending outdoor dining in the City until 60 days after the end of the Commonwealth’s declared state of emergency. This announcement follows the Governor’s Executive Order last week, which gave cities and towns the flexibility to extend outdoor dining past the initial November 1 deadline.

Through the Cambridge Energy Helpline (617-430-6230), callers get connected to a trained adviser who can explain cost-saving programs, from fuel assistance and discount utility rates to solar credits and no-cost energy assessments. Support is available to renters, homeowners, and landlords alike—regardless of building type.
Welcome Baby Boxes Provide Baby Care Essentials to Cambridge Parents
During the 11th Participatory Budgeting cycle, Cambridge residents voted to fund Welcome Baby Boxes for new parents. This initiative, offered by the Center for Families, provides Baby Boxes to eligible Cambridge parents who have a child under one year old. Since outreach began in the Fall of 2025, more than 60 Cambridge households have signed up to receive a Baby Box. 
Council on Aging’s Veterans and Friends Support Group Provides Connection
The Cambridge Council on Aging offers a Veterans and Friends Support Group. Open to Cambridge veterans ages 60 and older, the support group meets monthly at the Cambridge Senior Center.
