City of Cambridge Closures and Service Information for New Years Holiday
City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2024 in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Payments will not be required at Cambridge parking meters and pay stations on January 1, 2024. Curbside collection of trash, recycling, and compost will be suspended on January 1 and will be one day behind its regular schedule that week. Please note that yard waste pick-up and street cleaning ends on December 29 and will resume in April 2024.

Rooted in tradition and driven by innovation, the band brings energy, precision, and crowd-moving performances to every stage—celebrating culture, community, and the unmistakable sound of steel. PARK SOUNDS 2026 brings free outdoor musical performances featuring local artists to the front lawn of the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. These events are all-ages. Bring a chair, food, and loved ones to celebrate the summer! Funding is provided by the CPL Foundation in memory of Janet Axelrod.
