The 250th Anniversary of the United States Army event at the Cambridge Common has been rescheduled to July 7 at 1 p.m.

In honor of Earth Day, spend your afternoon at the Library creating your own terrarium. In partnership with Emerald City Plant Shop, you will have the opportunity to learn more about different kind of plants and plant care. This event will be conducted in the front park area of the Library. In the case of rain, the class will be moved to the Rossi room. The Library will provide all needed supplies. There will be 2 timed sessions. Please make sure to choose the time that works best for you.

The Cambridge City Council will continue to hold regular meetings. Members of the public cannot be physically present during the meeting, but can watch it meeting on the Municipal Channel 22-CityView or online via the City of Cambridge Open Meeting Portal at www.cambridgema.gov

The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. We will share thoughts, resources, and occasionally host special guests in a welcoming small-group environment. For our February meeting, we will discuss The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben. Attendees are invited to choose between reading the original text, the illustrated edition, the graphic adaptation, or watching the film version of this book! This work is available in many different formats. Copies of the print book, the illustrated edition, the graphic adaptation, and the DVD are available at the Main Library Q&A Desk. The Cambridge Charter Review Committee has been convened by the City Council to comprehensively review the City’s current charter and to recommend changes to ensure that Cambridge’s government meets the needs of our residents and is responsive to the challenges of today and beyond.

Established in 2013, the Cambridge Police Chaplaincy Program is the first of its kind in the Commonwealth where chaplains will work with the department and be called out to crime scenes and significant events to offer services to officers, victims, and members of the community.
