The Baker-Polito Administration, Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg and the Massachusetts State Lottery announced the Massachusetts VaxMillions Giveaway for residents who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Fully vaccinated residents 18 and older will have the opportunity to enter to win of five, $1 million cash prizes. Fully vaccinated residents between 12-17 years of age may enter for the chance to win one of five $300,000 scholarship grants.

The City of Cambridge announced a new Electric Vehicle Charging Pilot Program that will allow charging of electric vehicles (“EV”) across City sidewalks. The new charging pilot program provides residents without driveway access the opportunity to charge EVs across the public sidewalk by applying for a new Across Sidewalk Electric Vehicle Charging permit.

The City of Cambridge has officially launched its local Massachusetts 250 campaign, a City and statewide initiative to celebrate 250 years of America’s independence and Massachusetts’ revolutionary legacy. Throughout 2025 and 2026, the City of Cambridge plans to showcase stories that highlight historic themes of revolution and independence through a series of engaging events.

With Cambridge and Middlesex County both in the High COVID-19 Community Level category as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the City of Cambridge and Cambridge Public Health Department issued an advisory strongly recommending that residents wear masks when indoors outside the home and when around others.
