The Community Learning Center (CLC) works to create pathways for current students and alumni to work in the field of adult public education.

Did you know you can vote for a winner in the Massachusetts Children's Book Award each year? Join us the 1st Wednesday of each month as we read and discuss some of the MCBA nominated books. Cast your vote for your favorite nominated title, right here at the library. This program is for kids in 4th, 5th and 6th grade (or equivalent ages). Registration is required. For more information, please contact jpittel@cambridgema.gov. This month we're reading The Mona Lisa Vanishes by Nicholas Day (Random House, 2023). Limited copies of the book will be available at the Central Square Library. Pizza will be provided!

There will be traffic impacts across the greater Boston area due to Sumner Tunnel and the MBTA Red Line closures in July 2024.

The purpose of this survey is to hear from community members about their experiences and their ideas and hopes for LGBTQ+ friendly housing and spaces in Cambridge. This survey is open to any LGBTQ+ person who has lived in Cambridge or currently lives in Cambridge. Survey responses are anonymous. The survey results will be used to inform the recommendations provided by the LGBTQ+ Housing Task Force. The survey will be open February 6-16, 2024.

With the dry weather for the past 3+ weeks and the projections for the next 10 days continuing to show minimal to no rain, please help our Cambridge street trees thrive and give them a drink! Street trees require lots of water to establish themselves and thrive. Our trees need your help to get enough water.

July selection: The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters. This book group will meet virtually and in person at the Boudreau Branch. Please register below if you would like to attend via Zoom. Our monthly Middle Grade Mystery book group is for kids aged 10-14. Check out a copy of the book beforehand, or download it from the Libby app. Our March book is The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. This book group will meet virtually and in person at the O'Connell Branch. Please register below if you would like to attend virtually.
