Books Not Binaries Reading Group (Central Square)

Baker-Polito Administration on Track to Hit Goal of 4.1 Million People Vaccinated, Announces Next Phase of Vaccination Efforts
The Baker-Polito Administration set a goal of vaccinating approximately four million people in the Commonwealth. According to the CDC’s vaccine data, 3.9 million people in Massachusetts have been fully or partially vaccinated as of today. Another 180,000 people are scheduled to get their first dose in the next 7 days.

Building Permits
Anyone seeking to construct, alter, repair, or demolish a structure must first obtain a building permit. The building permit must be obtained before the start of any work and prominently posted at the job site.
Main Street Safety Improvement Project
Through the Main Street Safety Improvement Project, the City will add separated bike lanes to Main Street between Massachusetts Avenue and Portland Street, creating a more-comfortable bike connection between the Port and Central Square.
Summer Reading: D&D Character Creator Workshop with Guild Hall Learning (Boudreau)
Participants will explore how to build and develop a D&D character, gaining the skills to recreate or expand their own characters in the future. This event is recommended for children ages 8 and up. Funding for Summer Reading has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Cambridge Public Library and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
City Manager Provides Annual Performance Review
The City Manager Performance Review process enables greater accountability, transparency, and feedback. This is the second year we have conducted a City Manager Performance Review. This review is the result of a structured process that began with approving the performance review process and City Manager Goals at the April 12 Government Operations Committee meeting. We held a mid-year check-in at the August 5 Government Operations Committee. This next step, submitting an annual review of goals and performance by November 15 will be followed by the City Council’s formal evaluation delivered at a Special City Council Meeting on December 11.
Baker-Polito Administration Announces Vaccine Timeline for All Residents, Provides Weekly Dose Updates & $27.4 Million in Federal Funding for Vaccine Equity Initiative
Governor Baker announced the dates that all remaining residents and certain worker groups will be eligible for a vaccine. The Commonwealth’s detailed timeline adheres to the original timeline for the three phases announced in December. All residents can preregister to book an appointment at a mass vaccination site at mass.gov/COVIDVaccine.
