Wellness Art Wednesday: Fall Leaves Watercolor (Main)
Fall season is in the air, here at the Library! This art class will be a hybrid of indoor and outdoor time. Allowing you to get up close with the trees and leaves to take artistic observations of your surroundings. All supplies will be provided but please bring any protective gear (long sleeves and sweaters) in the event of slightly cold weather.
Registration is required.
Summer Reading: Pajama Story Time (O'Neill)
Come to the library in your pajamas to listen to stories, read with your children, and enjoy a snack before bed! This program is recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers.
This program will happen outside. In case of rain or bad weather it will be inside the O'Neill Branch.
Pajama Story Time is presented by the Cambridge Public Library and the Center for Families.
Graphics Are Great! Book Group (O'Connell)
Our monthly "Graphics Are Great!" book group is for kids aged 8-12. Check out a copy of the book beforehand, or download it from the Libby app. Our August book is Grace Needs Space! by Benjamin A. Wilgus and Rii Abrego.
This book group will meet in person at the O'Connell Branch.

Library Social Worker
The Library Social Worker is a Licensed Clinician working with the City of Cambridge through the Cambridge Public Library system to support a diverse community of patrons with a variety of different needs and services. Through a solution-focused, trauma-informed, and holistic approach to service, the Library Social Worker offers to assist and empower patrons on their way to success, healing and connection.
Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Cambridge
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Pauline Wells have confirmed the ongoing investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred this morning, Saturday, July 4th, in Cambridge.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the victim, identified as Xavier Bautista, 32 from Cambridge , was shot shortly before 4:30 a.m. his body was located by a pedestrian at around 5:30 a.m. who called 911.
