Parent/Child (Ages 7-9) Book Group (Main)
Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Snacks will be provided. For ages 7-9 and a parent or caregiver.
This month's book is Trouble at the Tangerine by Gillian McDunn. When a valuable necklace is stolen from Simon's new apartment complex, it's up to him and a quirky neighbor to solve the mystery before he and his family have to move again. Copies of this month's book are available at the Children's Desk.
Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Registration is required — only one registration is needed per family.

Cambridge Cooks with Jill Ahlstrand
Jill Ahlstrand is the founder of Harvesting Flavor, where she teaches approachable, garden-to-table plant-based cooking that helps people feel energized, confident, and nourished. Through classes, workshops, and wellness programs, she makes healthy eating practical, seasonal, and deeply flavorful. Bowls are one of the easiest ways to eat plant-forward, but only when they’re built well. In this class, you’ll learn how to create balanced, satisfying bowls using simple components like grains, vegetables, proteins, and sauces. We’ll focus especially on how sauces bring everything together, so bowls are flavorful, filling, and easy to repeat at home. No special diet is required, just practical, delicious food.
Reel Reads Book Club (O'Connell)
Is it true the book is always better? Join our new book club at the O'Connell Branch to delve into this question! Each month we will read a book selection with a movie adaptation, and discuss the relationship between the two and the merits and/or drawbacks of each.

For our inaugural meeting in May, we will be discussing Forrest Gump by Winston Groom, and the 1994 film of the same name.
