Cambridge Preschool Program Application Opens on December 1.
The Cambridge Preschool Program (CPP), also known as universal preschool, will provide free preschool to Cambridge 4-year-olds and some 3-year-olds beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. CPP will offer families a streamlined, single application process where they can apply to a variety of Cambridge-based preschool programs.
Families can apply to CPP from December 1 – January 15.

Barricade Situation Safely Resolved by the Cambridge Police
A 30-year-old Cambridge man was safely taken into custody and then transported to a local hospital last night following a reported armed assault. After the armed assault, he barricaded himself in his home until Cambridge Police officers were able to successfully enter and place the man into custody.

This raise-and-release project is a combination of volunteer stewardship, invasive plant management, native re-vegetation, and public education all aimed at encouraging a monarch population at Fresh Pond.
