Join City Staff for the tenth and final pop-up recycling event in 2026 on Wednesday, October 28 from 4-7:30 p.m. at 25 Corporal McTernan Street (next to Dana Square Park)

The Cambridge community is invited to join Cambridge Little League, Scout members, and others in placing flags on veterans' graves on Saturday, May 23, at 10 a.m., at Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue.

Learn how to upcycle clothing over four sessions! This program will cover embroidery embellishment, patches and applique, alterations such as hemming, and basic clothing design. Registration is required, and registering for the first session includes the following three sessions. Please plan to attend all four! We encourage you to bring your own piece(es) of clothing to practice on, and will provide all materials as well as scrap fabric. Ages 12-18. Due to rain, this event has been moved to the Lecture Hall on L2. Joyce the Singer is a versatile artist, musician, and producer from Detroit, MI. With a deep passion for her craft, her sound draws from a beautiful blend of R&B, Neo-Soul, and Jazz influences. Through her artistry, she strives to inspire others with music that reflects real-life experiences in hopes of connecting with vast audiences. PARK SOUNDS 2026 brings free outdoor musical performances featuring local artists to the front lawn of the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. These events are all-ages. Bring a chair, food, and loved ones to celebrate the summer! Funding is provided by the CPL Foundation in memory of Janet Axelrod.

Conservation district designation recognizes a distinctive physical environment that reflects the architectural, cultural, political, economic, or social history of the city. Designation encourages the conservation and maintenance of these areas so that the city may be a more attractive and desirable place in which to live and work.
