Every month we will read and discuss a short story as a group. Copies of the story will be provided, and no preparation is need. This month's selection is "Signs and Symbols" by Vladimir Nabokov. Please drop in!

People of all ages who enjoy children's books can read and discuss together. Food will be provided. This month we will be reading Impossible Creatures by Katherine Rundell. Please pick up a copy of the book beforehand at the O'Neill Branch Library.

Come learn and connect with incentives for lighting upgrades, heating upgrades, insulation, solar, and energy management tools. The Cambridge Police Department is no longer offering bicycle registrations. If you previously registered your bike with CPD, it will remain on file. However, bicyclists are encouraged to register their bikes with the National Bike Registry. You can register your bike HERE.
Live at the Library: Lunar New Year Family Concert (Main)
Join master musician Shaw Pong Liu in an interactive, educational and bilingual (English and Mandarin) music program welcoming the Year of the Horse. Shaw Pong will play her Western violin and her Chinese erhu, play music about horses, and invite a group sing-along. This program is recommended for children ages 5 and up and their caregivers.
Arthropod Petting Zoo with Professor Bugman (O'Neill)
Kids learn all about Arthropods, the most diverse group of animal life on the planet, during this exciting show-and-tell-and-touch program! Learn, see, hear, touch, and even smell the incredible adaptations these creatures have that help them survive in the wild world.
Recommended for children ages 3 and up and their caregivers. No registration is required.
Weekend Traffic Impacts May 3 and 4
The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, 2025, due to scheduled community events including the VIVA CENTRAL Block Party, the CEOC 60th Anniversary Celebration, and the 40th Annual Harvard Square MayFair.
Electric Vehicle Chargers
Install Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at 3 locations with 10 charging heads. EV adoption is growing steadily as measured by EV charging station data collected by the city. This proposal responds to a strong demand from residents who have indicated a need for more publicly available EV chargers.
Celebrate New Pemberton Street Mural Oct 19
Join us for the unveiling of the new, community-inspired mural along Pemberton Street, on the retaining wall at Rindge Field between Haskell Street and Yerxa Road, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2023, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Free.
COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Port Pride on Saturday, August 14
Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House is partnering with Cambridge Health Alliance for a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, August 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the 17th Annual Port Pride event. The clinic will be located at 71 Cherry Street. Everyone ages 12 and over is welcome to get a free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of immigration status. No ID or health insurance is needed.
